MARCH

The Museum of Everything, the Sony Nominated Radio 4 series I did with Marcus Brigstocke and Dan Tetsell is now finally out on CD. You can buy it here. Surely, it's the perfect Mother's Day present?

Catch me on Saturday Review on Saturday 13th March at 7.15pm. Or listen again on the iPlayer.

And I'll be gigging at The Roffle Club at Proud Galleries on Sunday March 28th at 8pm.

FEBRUARY

Here's a video I recently rediscovered on Youtube. It's a stunt I did for BBC 3's The Bullsh*t Detective. It made me laugh watching it again so i thought I'd share it with you.

And here's me on the border of North and South Korea from a recent Travel Channel programme.

JANUARY 2010

Happy New Year!

It's been a busy start to the year for me with appearances on Front Row, Jon Ronson on and Saturday Review. You can catch me on Saturday Review on 16th January.

I'm also still to be heard every Thursday morning on Lauren Laverne's 6Music show at approximately 10.40am, giving my round up of events around the country and an Indie Travel guide to a different city each week. Check out the show's website.

I will be performing at Gloom Aid at the O2 Academy Islington on Monday January 18th which is apparently officially the most depressing day of the year. There's loads of other great acts on including Mark Watson, who's compereing, Robin Ince, Alex Horne and John Hegley.

You can get tickets here. And here's a link to an article about it.

DECEMBER NEWS!

Read a column I wrote for the Guardian about the threatened BA strike disrupting my holiday plans here.

You can catch me on Lauren Laverne's new BBC 6 Music show every Thursday at 11ish. I'll be giving my round up of events going on around the country and doing an Indie travel guide to places around the world. First one is Thursday 3rd December, I'll be talking about Stockholm... And you can always catch it again on the BBC iPlayer here.

Hear me on Radio 4's Saturday Review here until December 5th.

Don't forget to buy tickets for DJ Danny's Xmas Megamix - the only chance to catch me live on stage before the end of the year - it's at Theatre Delicatessen - an awesome venue - see newsflash below for more info.

I can now confirm more bands for both nights too. On Sunday, I'll be joined by Princes in the Tower and That Nadine White Experience - a female lead pirate band! And on Tuesday, as well as Circulus, there will be modern day troubadour Antony Elvin.

NEWSFLASH!!!

Sorry I haven't updated for a while, but I'm very happy to announce that I will be doing two live shows before Christmas, on Dec 6th and 8th, featuring my character DJ Danny, that I have performed at sell out runs at the Edinburgh Fringe and the Soho Theatre.

It's called DJ Danny's Xmas Megamix and I can promise special festive flavoured bootlegs, remixed carols and my attempt to launch my very own Christmas Number 1 single.

The shows are in a really unusual theatre space right in the middle of town - it's called Theatre Delicatessen and is slap bang on Regents Street in the heart of W1, just moments from Oxford Circus. It looks like an ordinary office building from the outside, but once you go through the foyer you emerge into a brilliantly atmospheric little theatre - it's kind of like a theatrical Narnia. So, why not do a spot of Christmas shopping then pop up the road to catch the show?

As an added incentive on the Tuesday night, I'll be joined by the rather spectacular Circulus - the UK's premier neo-medieval psychedelic folk rock band. They will be playing a full set after my show accompanied by some lovely female morris dancers - The Belles of London City. If you haven't seen them before, it's quite an experience.

You can book tickets at www.theatredelicatessen.co.uk
The theatre's address is 295 Regent's Street. It's on the north end of Regent Street towards Broadcasting House, about 2 minutes walk from Oxford Circus.

There's a bar that's open until midnight after the show and I'll almost certainly lay on some mince pies.

Shows start at 7.30pm.

July

You can hear me on Saturday Review on Radio 4 on July 11th at 7.15pm, reviewing Bruno and Rufus Waunwright's new Opera amongst over things and I'll be doing a rare gig at the Larmer Tree Festival on Friday 17th. Other than that I'm mainly writing this month - details of what and when you can see/hear stuff soon.

May/June

I'll be playing at The Larmer Tree Festival on the Wiltshire/Dorset border on July 13th. It sounds fun with a great selection of acts. You can find out more/book tickets here.

All 12 episodes of We Are History are now up on Youtube, courtesy of some nice fans and their VHS collections. You can see them all on my Youtube page here.

Bluebell Welch, a series of shorts I wrote for MTV, starring Antonia Cambell-Hughes can be seen online here.

Two radio appearances this week - Saturday Review on 23rd May at 7.15pm on Radio 4 and Steve Lamacq's 6Music show on Frdiay 22nd - I'll be doing a Goth world cup! Somehow I seem to have found myself in the role of Steve resident Goth expert. I think it may all stem from this - my first foray into Gothdom - my visit to Whitby Goth Weekend for The Culture Show from a couple of years back:

April

I'll be on Steve Lamacq's 6Music show tonight (16th April) reviewing new records on Round Table.

Somebody has posted the piece I did for Radio 4's Front Row about Secret Cinema up on Youtube. Here it is for your viewing/listening pleasure

February/March

COMIC RELIEF!

I'm doing a live blog tonight (Friday 13th March) from backstage at Comic Relief - you can follow it here. I should be updating every 5-10 mins from 7pm till 2am with backstage gossip and photos and hopefully getting a few celebrities to chip in with some blog entries too.

I am on Radio 4's Front Row on Wednesday 4th March at 7.15pm, doing a piece about Secret Cinema. Again if you miss it, you can catch it again here for 7 days afterwards.

You can see me on BBC2's The Culture Show on Tuesday 3rd March at 10pm, talking about Viz for a special one-off programme to celebrate the comic's 30th Anniversay. If you miss it, you'll be able to see it again on the here for 7 days afterwards.

Essential Nile Cruise, another of the programmes I have fimed for Travel Channel starts going out on the channel on 26th February at 9pm. You can see it on Sky and watch a trailer here. You can also see an interview with me on another programme, Travel Today, here.

January 2009

I've been making some travel programmes for Travel Channel International. The first one Essential Utah starts going out on January 22nd at 9pm. You can watch it on Sky and you can see a trailer for it here.

You may or may not be interested to know there are now 8 episodes of We Are History, the BBC 2 series I co-wrote and created with Dan Tetsell, up on Youtube. If you didn't catch it first time round, they were ten minute spoof history programmes starring Marcus Brigstocke as the historian David Oxley BA (Hons). Two series went out in 2000 and 2001 and still have a bit of a cult following. Until we can persuade the BBC to release it on DVD, Youtube is the only place you can see it. There are links to all 8 episodes are on my Youtube page here.

I'm on Radio 4's Front Row on January 6th at 7.15pm. I'm talking about how to 'Culturally Detox' after too much Christmas TV. If you missed it you can catch it again on the Front Row website, for 7 days after the broadcast.

Doc Brown's Archers Rap from my Danny Robins Music Therapy Radio 4 Show is now up on YouTube. It's very very funny, whether you love The Archers or hate it. Check it out below:

November/December 2008

My new BBC Radio 4 series Danny Robins Music Therapy launches on Tuesday November 18th at 11pm. The other three episodes will go out on 25th November, 2nd December and 9th December all at 11pm.

If you miss any of it, you'll be able to listen again at the show's website.

You can see a trailer for the show below, it's me being an instore-DJ for the day at a fishmongers:

I'm going to be doing a regular slot on Steve Lamacq's 6 Music show every Tuesday at 5.30 till Christmas. It's called Tribes and will see me investigating and reporting back on various musical subcultures like a rock version of Bruce Parry. You'll be able to hear all the shows again on Steve's page on the BBC website here, the first part - Goths - is already up there. It's Ravers on Novemeber 18th...

See me live! I'll be hosting Pubstock at the Albany pub on Great Portland Street (opposite Great portland Street tube) on Thursday November 20th at 8pm. It's a Glastonbury style summer music festival in a pub - with bands, comedians, singers, a tent and even a little bit of mud all crammed into one room in the heart of darkest November. You can book tickets from the box office on 020 7387 5706 or check out the Albany's website. You can also email reservations directly to me.

The Sony Radio Award Nominated show The Museum of Everything that I wrote and performed with Marcus Brigstocke and Dan Tetsell is currently being repeated on BBC 7. You can listen again here.
